What is this a quilt blog now?

I promise I've been doing other things besides quilting, it's just not exciting enough to blog about.
I have all my blocks from A Notion or Two, and I love them all! Sadly, I can't do anything with them yet because I need funds to buy some sashing material, but I have also been thinking about using some vintage linens for the sashing, I have a ton of them, and I would probably use something off white or white and it would have some kind of florals on it. So what do you think, use vintage linens with a floral print (I have some pretty subtle ones) or wait till I have some mula to buy a cotton/linen blend sashing, and I was thinking in a tan color? Hmmm...

I was even sent extra cute stuff! This extra block I am going to use for the backing. Thanks Sarah! The cutest clutch was made by this Sarah, and the awesome fabric covered magnets, were made by Lolly. Thank you everyone!

they look so great all together!! I think your linens would be great for sashing, same feel allover would be nice. Have fun figuring it out :)

This looks SO great! I'm feeling really sheepish that I haven't gotten a good picture of mine all together.

I think vintage sashing would be cool. Plus it would be cheaper! I'm trying to use up stuff before I buy new things right now. That's the M.O. behind my answer.

Can't wait to see it!

That's cool that you're into quilting now! It looks really good.

I just posted on my blog about some things I won from you. :)

Just one thing to think about if you are going to use vintage linens . . . they are often stretchy and it would be hard to work with in the long skinny strips that sashing requires. I agree that the look would be great but I think it might give you a few headaches in trying to achieve a nice, square/rectangle, smooth quilt. Some unwashed new cotton in white might make it easier to manage. Then, for the back use vintage linens for sure!
