Christmas Sweaters

Yes Christmas Sweaters before Halloween :)

Aren't these the cutest sweaters ever?  I had to share them here cause I am dying over how freakin awesome they are.  Some of the buttons are even from my great grandma that I have been saving for the perfect project.

So, I showed this picture to an aunt of mine that loves to crochet and asked if she could do something similar for my girls for Christmas.

I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome and I now have to restrain myself from giving them to my girls before Christmas :)

The best part?  All I had to do was buy the yarn, and then we did a trade, she picked out some bags and wallets for herself and my two cousins, trading is the best!

Random stuff

Sage made a snow family yesterday because it has been snowing :(



I made my girls Easter chicks for their baskets using this tutorial on Molly Chicken.

I also made them little notebooks using this tutorial on Making Chicken Salad.

One of my favorite parts is that I used graph paper.

I've been admiring my granny square progress, it is slow progress because I have just been working on them a bit here and there. I still like to admire them.

I have been trying to get things on my sewing list done for my upcoming shows. I am having a hard time.

I also did a small update in my shop yesterday.

And today is the last day to vote for the round 3 auditions for So You Think Your Crafty, can you pick out which project is mine?

I hope you all have a lovely Easter weekend filled with yummy chocolate eggs and time with family and remembering the reason Easter is celebrated :)

Various things

Last night we went to visit Casey's Mom, we had a few minutes to kill while we waited for her to get off work so we went to a store called Dilly-Dally's, it's sortof like a glorified dollar store. Anyways, I found these colored masking tapes for $1 each, I was pretty excited. I know pretty silly that $1 tape makes me happy :)

I've still been grannying here and there. And I am happy to report that I found lots more yummy colors of cotton yarn at Hobby Lobby, YAY!

And I have been working on pinwheels.

I've also been busy getting ready for my spring shows. Yesterday I started a batch of 72 onesies, I am hoping to finish them up today.

On another note, please keep my family in your prayers, my Brother and Sister-in-law had their 3rd baby on Sunday night, and little Hallie has to have heart surgery in the next few days. She has a valve in her heart that is collapsing. Their first little boy Chet had the same heart condition and he had to have surgery too. Apparently Hallie's condition is a bit worse than Chet's was though. She is in good hands at Primary Children's Hospital and we are praying that everything will go well.

Grannying

Last night I went to Kelly's crochet class. I LOVE crocheting, I have forever wanted to learn, and now I can! I had a little bit of yarn about the house, today I went and bought some more :)

My first granny square is the cream one I did in class , then after I purchased my yarn today I started the colorful granny squares. Granny squares are addicting I must say. I am going to make a blanket out of them. I am thinking they would look most lovely with a cream layer added to the outside of each one. I went to three stores today trying to find a different colors of cotton yarn, I think I may have to buy some online, they have alot of colors here.

I got another yummy package of fabric in the mail, again ordered from Fabricworm.
Seriously, I have a problem.

I've also been working on pinwheel quilt squares and cleaning the house.

I really need to get my butt in gear and tackle the huge list of things I need to get made for upcoming art shows. I think my list has about 30 different things on it.
