Modest clothing

Modest clothing out of newspaper, this is what my morning consisted of. I had the girls I'm in charge of for church to my house today and we talked about modesty and then made modest newspaper clothing, what a fun time it turned out to be. Then of course my two oldest children needed a dress! WOW was there newspaper everywhere!

Hi Amy,

I found your blog a few weeks ago on a search for cool blogs, I can't remember who linked you, anyway I wanted to say hi and that I love this idea for modest clothing. My husband and I have long been a bit freaked out by really young girls we've seen in very unmodest clothing. .now that we have a baby daughter this is an idea I will keep in the back of my head! BTW I love all the stuff you sew!

So I was reading this post (found your blog from the red barn giveaway!) and thought wow we emphasize modesty at my church too...then you said that you had girls you're in charge of over to learn about it and I thought hmmm that sounds like something to do with Primary at our church....then I read another post about your daughter being baptized. Bingo LOL! I have a 7 year old daughter, turning 8, and the modesty thing is huge in her mind right now - she would love this idea so thank you!! Love your blog and your 'stuff' by the way!
