Proof that my living room can be clean

So, usually, my living room serves as my sewing room with various things strewn about :)
But I had visiting teachers coming over today and so I cleaned up.

Plus look at my cute new crochet pillow that I found at Urban Outfitters for 10 bucks! I picked it out as a Birthday present for me from my husband. (he doesn't like shopping for me) Which reminds me, did you know that I am going to be the big Three O on Saturday?
I will soon no longer be in my twenties, I will be 30. years. old. How the crap did that happen?

I love your style & the pillow is a steal for $10! Visiting teachers is about the only thing that gets me to clean up...thank goodness for them or my house would stay a wreck:)

How fun! My birthday is Saturday as well. I will be 36! Happy birthday to us! And you really are nice to clean up for your visiting teachers. Since we've been sick so much here lately, mine may have to witness the fact that my Christmas tree is still up. :)

My poor visiting teachers have to wade through clutter... if they ever come (haven't had anyone come since I moved here over a year and a half ago...)

Given the infrequency of their visits, I would probably clean up this time! :)

Looks great! (probably feels great too!)

I feel your pain - about the clean living room and getting older. Your room looks great!

Happy Birthday! When I was little my aunt had a little sign in her mudroom that said "Don't regret growing older, it beats the alternative." I pondered on it often in childhood, so now I can't forget it. Even when I feel it is impossible that i'll be 34 on Monday!

Love your blog.
